I've recorded, mixed and mastered thousands of tracks
by hundreds of artists and hope to record many more.
AUDIO PRODUCTION AND SONG ARRANGEMENT
I believe it's best to work with people who share your
creative outlook and values. I believe authenticity is far
more important than perfection, particularly with music.
SESSION AND LIVE PERFORMANCE
It's hard to write without sounding a little conceited,
but I'm quite gifted on a number of instruments.
This combined with decades of experience means I'm
very good at this. Most often I'm asked to play or
record drums and bass guitar, but I also play electric
or acoustic guitar, piano, keyboards, violin and flute.
MUSIC VIDEO, FILM & TV
I occasionally make music videos and compose for film.
It's great, I'd like to do more.
LOCATION RECORDING AND STUDIO-TO-HOME PROJECTS
I sometimes work from other studios or on location.
It varies from project to project. I don't think people
embrace how much flexibility modern technology allows in
this regard. It's good to think outside the box, in my
experience this only enhances the experience and end result.
SONGWRITING AND COMPOSITION
I write songs. It's more for pleasure than work. But I
help with aspects of other people's writing from time
to time, where appropriate.
MUSIC TUITION AND EDUCATION
I don't really teach music any more.
I just don't have the time.
